This is an instrumental version of a track from an upcoming project, yet to be released, I have with BSidez (Star Players/Bar Bay Dos). J Mal opens up this song with a fire verse and me and B continue with some heavy bar work. Be on the lookout for that release before the year is over!
This might be the newest beat on this project. The samples are all from an SP1200 disk where I made there sequence but I didn't have enough sample time left to add drums. So one day, while vining out in the studio w B and J Mal, I played the sequence and started playing live finger drums with the MPC-X and just hit record and did the whole drum track live a la Prince lol. Luckily Im a drummer and it sounds tight...
This is a slapper and I'm very excited to share the vocal version with y'all soon!
