This is another track I made on the SP1200 almost 15 years ago! It started as a pretty simple loop and drum thing on the SP that me and TJ Reynolds and Blaise Zekalo used to roll around the whip freestyling to, with the chorus "my brother." So the tune has been called "My Brother" for years. Just recently though, BSidez and I wrote a song to it about rainy day vibes, so now it's called Rainglow. I was shopping it for years though, so if you got a song called "my brother" on your computer, its too late now. Snooze ya lose lol.
Again, this beat was mostly a skeleton for years and then in 2016 or 2017 had a studio session in Indy and Jeremy Radway, fresh from living in London for a decade, added the funky chunky ass bass line you hear now. And months before that, the ever talented Kevin Seal, blessed the track with the sounds of his lovely Rhodes and the chords he played along to it actually helped me figure out the song structure and turn it from "beat" to "song."
This is probably one of my top 10 personal favorite beats Ive ever made.
