This is an old track I shopped around for a while called "smooth nasty," which got a lot of interest, but no $, so me and BSidez recently wrote over it and it will be coming out on our album soon, with the name "Paradise Lost."
It's based off a Herbie sample I chopped up in the SP1200. But when it came time to add the hi hat, I ran out of sample time and the one I had sounded all choppy, so I just played the hi hat live in one take and that was that. That was the layer. Very subtle, but it adds a lot to the feel of the track.
