This was a track I made in the SP1200 with some outtakes of me, Stakzilla and TJ Reynolds goofing around in the studio on the mic, making noises with our mouths and tongues, etc. I took my favorite parts of the acappella track and layered them in the SP1200, found a few patterns I liked and added some drums.
It was cool, but the track really transformed when I imported it to pro tools and, for some reason, imported a second version of it. The two versions were slightly staggered and when I went to play the new one, I forgot to mute the old one and the way the drum patterns and mouth noises shuffled, I couldn't ever go back to hearing the two pieces apart.
So this happy accident turned into Tongue Game Shuffle.
